The January transfer window proves to be a time of significant speculation and possible major transfers. A number of high-profile stars find themselves connected to moves out of their present teams. Here is a look at a selection of the key figures who could be on the move this month.

A. Semenyo

Although Ghana's failure to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations, this has left the player available, indications are a significant move is imminent. The experienced German goalkeeper finds himself as third-choice at Barça following new manager Hansi Flick. Having fallen out of favour and undergone an operation, a winter exit seems increasingly probable. Villa were initially mentioned as a potential suitor, but that option now appears unlikely. Instead, interest from Saudi Arabia and Turkey are thought to be showing curiosity in the 33-year-old.

Ivan Toney

This prolific English centre-forward has kept finding the net frequently in the Middle East. A return to the Premier League could enhance his dwindling hopes of being in the England World Cup.
