“That was regrettable. It was essentially an interaction with Cowboys supporters out in front of us,” Jones stated during a Tuesday interview. “There was a swarm of Cowboys fans—not New York fans, Cowboys fans. The whole venue was filled with excitement for the Cowboys.”
He further clarified that the signal was completely accidental, occurring amid the excitement following the team’s final touchdown. “I just showed the incorrect finger,” he remarked. “It was accidentally performed. I’m not kidding. If you want to call it accidental, you can. However, it got resolved pretty quick.”

- Carolina Panthers proprietor Tepper was fined $300,000 for tossing a beverage at fans in early 2024.
