The Forest manager is yet to secure any of his seven fixtures since replacing the previous manager last month
Under-fire boss Ange Postecoglou offered a passionate justification regarding his track record and committed to claim honors at Nottingham Forest allowed sufficient opportunity
The veteran coach is under pressure having been unable to secure victory in any of his opening seven games following his appointment instead of the former manager last month
The club has been considering their options during the international break, with ex-Burnley boss Sean Dyche a potential option reviewed as a potential replacement despite Postecoglou only being appointed for just 38 days
The team welcomes the Blues in their next match with the manager presented an extended speech at his pre-match media briefing, as Forest 17th in England's top flight
"Certain people focus at the weeds while I observe at the progress being made," he stated, "I'm genuinely enthusiastic since I work with a team of developing footballers ready to evolve"
He also confirmed there was no discussion with the club's owner the Greek businessman throughout the break
"I refuse to spend my energy regarding external perceptions" he added
"I just don't fit, not just at Forest, across the board" he explained
Previous Club History
"I assumed control of Spurs and was informed by the leadership at the time 'this organization needs to claim silverware'"
"He commented 'we endeavored to hire successful managers, Jose [Mourinho] and the former Chelsea boss yet it proved unsuccessful, we must have something different'"
"I felt somewhat insulted by those words because I see myself as a winner"
Explaining His Results
"We ended up in fifth position my first year" he remembered
"Whenever the England captain scored a goal I'd wish he'd just stayed for another season since it could have been handy to have him following our fifth-place finish"
"But somehow that year has been erased from the record books" he argued
Moving Ahead
"Therefore, we arrive at the present situation where there remains another perspective to share, that perhaps I'm not a disappointing tactician who was fortunate to secure this position"
"but perhaps I'm a leader that when allowed opportunity, the tale invariably finishes similarly"
"With every team I've managed, the result is consistent - alongside me celebrating success"
Postecoglou won continental honors in May - the club's initial honor for 17 years and their first European silverware for 41
Previous Scottish champion also promised, provided with patience, he would maintain his record of securing silverware everywhere he has managed
